  • Security station & regular patrols
  • Intrusion alarms
  • Man-trap doors with biometric readers and 100% identification verification
• Raised floor to prevent flooding and to accommodate under-floor wiring
• Redundant power systems (N+1)
  • At least two sources of power
  • Battery back up that activate in case of a power outage
  • Diesel generators to continue charging the batteries
• Redundant internet sources
  • Multiple ISPs and points of presence
  • The tier of ISPs (T1, T2, etc) depends on the location of the data center
• Proper ventilation and cooling
• Adequate space for staging equipment, conference areas, and garbage disposal (depending on the size of the data center)
